  My wife Carmen and I have eaten well in Spain for many years, but our visit to La Marineta on Saturday night took us to a new gastronomic level. We were assailed by a succession of intense and harmonious flavours the like of which we had never experienced before. This is a truly outstanding eating establishment and one that every visitor to the area should make a point of seeking out. There is little point trying to distinguish the highlights - the menu changes on a regular basis to reflect the seasonal delicacies and allow the kitchen to express its dexterity and imagination.   We visited due to the high ratings but I fear this has gone to their head. Your only as good as your service which was definitely lacking. We wanted to make the most of the experience to waited it out to give it a chance. If we waited any longer I would have eaten the napkin. Definitely overpriced and lacks ambience. Walked down to the bottom of the road and opposite the station is 'colon cafe'. Don't let the name put you off. My partner and I enjoyed the best meal and fantastic service.

  Poor service and pretentious staff. After waiting for 20min for a table we were guided to one on the curb,it had one seat so my partner was left to find another.
